Emily is initially from a small coastal town called Vero Beach, Florida. She decided to leave the beautiful beaches and warm weather of Florida for the cold winters of hail and ice in Indiana. Here she will graduate with her BFA in Acting at Ball State University come May 3rd.
One of the most important parts of making and creating art for her is allowing all to be included and celebrated. She is a strong advocate for inclusivity within theatre, specifically for those with disabilities. During her time at Ball State, she completed a minor in American Sign Language. She hopes to use this minor in theatre spaces to communicate and work with students. From peer to peer academic assistance to weekend performance creating; nothing makes her happier than getting to spend time and create art with students who typically aren’t granted that opportunity.
When she is not performing or being theatrical, you can find her organizing everything that comes her way, making vegan dishes, going to every thrift/consignment in the area, and listening to Lizzy McAlpine.
